CBT is a form of psychotherapy that addresses behavioural and emotional problems. By guiding you to look at problems from different perspectives it will help you to recognise your patterns of thinking that create negativity or disharmony and distress. By offering you problem solving skills and solutions that are easy to learn and use, I can help help you to then gain control of negative patterns and create a more balanced way of thinking and behaving. This will allow you to become more self aware and able to take back control of your life.      

To understand the relationship between how our thoughts affect our feelings and behaviour, the premise behind CBT is that it’s not the situation itself that is makes us unhappy but how we think about it and that will then affect the way we act. Cognitive therapy is designed to change people’s thoughts, expectations, attitudes, beliefs and how we act. By challenging these negative patterns we can identify strategies and goals together to work towards a resolution as effectively as possible. 

This form of therapy works for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, assertiveness, anger, confidence, depression, relationship problems and self esteem.
