08 Jul Transform your Life – Finding and fulfilling your life’s purpose
During the last few months as our world has been turned upside down and inside out. Unleashing many mixed emotions and feelings about our world and our lives. Many of us have had the opportunity to re-evaluate what we want from life, what is important, where we are and what we would like to change. Perhaps it’s a new job or career, retraining? To become more healthy, to reclaim our power, increase our confidence or motivation, financial abundance, a relationship? It could be that we want to let go of unwanted baggage that plays out in procrastination, limiting beliefs about ourselves that are holding us back. Is there something in your life that no longer serves you?
Do you have what you want in your life? Is your life a wish fulfilled, have all your dreams come true? If we realised that what we have in our life is of our own making we would be so much more motivated to take back control of our thoughts and beliefs. Are you dwelling on what you don’t want? Do you even know what you want in your life?
We are living in two realities, the inner world of our attitudes, emotions and thoughts and our outer world of things, people, events. We allow our world to be dominated by our outer reality. The most important part of who we really are is our inner world that affects our success and failure. Every thought we think is trying to manifest, to ignite. Our thoughts provide a spark and unless this is powered by repetition and consistency it will dissipate. If we use concentration and focus repetition and consistency we can provide enough power to manifest. This happens whether we want what we focus on or not, or whether it will enhance our life or not. Our hopes, fears, attitudes, desires, beliefs and programs have power and will draw to you what you give your attention to. Bearing in mind we have at least 50,000 thoughts a day. Many of those thoughts are focused on what we don’t want.
Feeling are the most real thing we have, we tend to push our negative feelings down by using food, drink, drugs, shopping etc to suppress those unwanted feelings. Unfortunately these feelings are a way of our mind to get in touch with us, alert us to something that needs addressing so they regroup and come back stronger to get our attention. From my 20 years or so experience I have found there are some common areas that come up time and again that underlie this behaviour. These include not feeling good enough, feeling unworthy, abandonment, being scared of being successful so we sabotage ourselves, we procrastinate. What are you telling yourself on a daily basis? Are you using negative self-talk to reinforce cruel harsh statements about yourself? Creating beliefs that do not serve you, that are not true and do not enhance your life. Our mind has no capacity to reason, it believes what we tell it. If you say I can or if you say I can’t, you are right.
